Find clear answers about Roatán cruise ports, how to meet your guide, secure payments, cancellation policies, and what to expect on your tour. Need more help? Contact us.
New tours booked directly through roatanvisitor.com require full payment online at checkout. Payments are processed through PayPal. Previously confirmed bookings with an agreed deposit remain subject to the conditions stated in their own confirmation.
For new direct bookings, cancel at least 24 hours before the tour start time shown in your confirmation for a full refund. Deadlines use Roatan local time. We use the time your message is received. Earlier reservations retain the terms agreed when booked. Honduran law also permits revocation within five business days after a remote service contract is concluded, provided the service has not begun; this right applies even inside the 24-hour window. Subject to that right and the cruise and operator-cancellation protections in our Booking Conditions, later cancellations and no-shows are non-refundable. Full refunds are returned through the original payment method without administration or processing-fee deductions. Contact us by replying to your confirmation email, at [email protected], or through WhatsApp. Bookings through other platforms may follow that platform’s terms.
Roatán has two cruise terminals: Isla Tropicale (formerly Mahogany Bay) in Dixon Cove, and the Port of Roatán in Coxen Hole. They have different pickup arrangements. Please give us your ship name and arrival date, and check your cruise line’s current itinerary. See our cruise port pickup guide for an overview of both terminals.
We send terminal-specific pickup directions before your visit. At Isla Tropicale, independent operators normally meet visitors outside the restricted port area, beyond the main entrance. At Coxen Hole the meeting arrangements are different. Your personal pickup email contains the confirmed meeting pin and instructions.
We assign a guide after your booking is confirmed. Before arrival, we send the guide’s name, contact information and a link to the exact meeting point. Your guide will wear a Roatan Visitor uniform and carry a sign with the name on your booking.
We plan cruise excursions around the ship’s published all-aboard time and include a return buffer. If conditions change, we may adjust the route or stops to prioritize the return. Please review the scope of our On-Time Return Promise in the Booking Conditions.
For direct bookings, our Booking Conditions provide a full refund if your ship does not call at Roatán or arrives too late for the tour to operate safely and return before all aboard. If there is sufficient time, we may adapt the experience. Please notify us of changes.
Not always. Roatán uses Central Standard Time (UTC−6) year-round, while some ships use another time zone. Your individual pickup email should identify the time standard. Confirm your ship’s all-aboard time as well.
Pickup arrangements depend on the particular tour. Provide your accommodation name and location when booking. We will confirm your pickup details and advise you beforehand of any different meeting point or additional arrangement.
Each tour page and booking confirmation specifies its inclusions. Transportation, meals, admissions, equipment and optional extras differ by experience. We do not charge additional mandatory Roatan Visitor fees after a completed direct booking.
Please contact us before booking or arrival. Port exits and some tour sites have slopes or uneven ground. We can review the particular pickup route and tour; any special vehicle or access arrangements need individual confirmation.
Email [email protected] or WhatsApp +504 8867-1613. After you book, follow the contact details in your confirmation and pickup instructions. If you cannot find your guide, contact us rather than joining an unverified operator.
