Do I need fishing experience to join this trip?

No experience is required. Our local crew will help you with setup, baiting, and technique throughout the trip, whether it’s your first time fishing or you’ve done it before.

What type of fish can we catch in Roatán?

Depending on the season and sea conditions, common catches include mahi mahi (dorado), tuna, wahoo, barracuda, snapper, and other reef species. Fishing is always influenced by nature, so catches are never guaranteed, but the crew will take you to productive areas.

Is this a private fishing trip or shared with others?

This is a private, group-based fishing experience. The boat and crew are reserved exclusively for your group. The price is shown per visitor, but the booking covers the full boat. If your group has fewer visitors than the minimum required, the remaining spots must still be covered to keep the trip private.

Where does the trip start?

The meeting point depends on where you are staying on the island. Our usual departure areas are West End or West Bay, but since we operate across Roatán, the exact meeting point will be agreed upon in advance after booking. We always confirm the location clearly before the day of the experience.

Is lunch included in this experience?

Yes. A local island-style lunch is included as part of this all-inclusive fishing experience, along with snacks and cold drinks on board. When possible, our partner local restaurant can also prepare what you catch that day, allowing you to enjoy your fresh fish as part of your meal.

What happens to the fish we catch?

Fish cleaning and preparation are included. You are welcome to keep what you catch, following local regulations and availability. If the catch is abundant, and you prefer not to take everything with you, it may also be sold to a local restaurant. Any proceeds from that sale go directly to you, which many visitors appreciate as a way to recover part of the cost of the experience.

What if the weather or sea conditions change?

Safety always comes first. If sea or weather conditions are not suitable, we may adjust the fishing area, timing, or reschedule the experience. Since this is a book-now, pay-later reservation, no payment is collected until the day of the tour, making it easy to adjust plans if conditions require it.

How long is the fishing trip?

This is a half-day deep sea fishing experience that lasts approximately 6 hours. Timing may adjust slightly based on sea and weather conditions to keep the day safe and comfortable.

Is this trip suitable for children or first-time boat riders?

Children are welcome, and we generally recommend this experience for ages 6 and up with adult supervision. However, deep sea fishing involves open-water conditions, and the ride can be uncomfortable for visitors who are not accustomed to boats or who are prone to motion sickness. To ensure everyone enjoys the experience fully, we strongly recommend this trip for visitors who are comfortable on the water.

Are tips included?

Tips are not included and are always optional. We truly love taking care of our dear visitors — and while tips are never expected, they are always appreciated when the crew provides great service.
