The Private Pigeon Cay Offshore Experience is a full-day private boat escape for overnight visitors who want to reach one of Roatan’s most remote and beautiful offshore areas. This is not a rushed snorkel stop or a crowded beach excursion. It is a carefully planned offshore day built around open water, reef stops, white sand, and time to enjoy the cay at a relaxed pace.
Your captain and crew take you along Roatan’s east side toward Pigeon Cay, choosing the best route and snorkeling areas based on sea conditions, visibility, and safety. Along the way, you may stop at shallow reef areas where marine life can include tropical fish, rays, starfish, and, when conditions allow, nurse sharks. Wildlife sightings are never guaranteed because everything is wild and free-moving.
The day is intentionally unhurried. You will have time to enjoy the boat ride, snorkel in clear shallow water, relax on or near the cay, and take in a side of Roatan that most visitors never reach. Because this is a long offshore experience, it is recommended for guests staying on the island and is not suitable for cruise ship schedules.
